Our Story

My husband Nate and I are high school sweethearts.  We've known each other since kindergarten because our parents live in the same neighborhood, and started dating our sophomore year of high school (and a short 9 years later, we got married!).

We stayed together throughout college, though Nate was at North Dakota State and I was at Georgetown.  Long distance was not easy but finally in 2006 we both moved back to Minnesota.

On October 26th, 2007 Nate proposed on a walk on a perfect fall day.  We planned our wedding in 5 months and were married March 28th, 2008.  The day after we whisked ourselves off to Cancun, Mexico for our honeymoon.

After getting married we moved into an apartment in Minneapolis and in October of 2008 we bought our first house in Edina, MN.

In June of 2009, Cooper the black lab joined our family and has been our "baby" ever since.

Nate sells real estate and I am a middle school teacher. We love to fix up our house, go for walks, play golf, spend time outside with our black lab Cooper, cook, entertain and spend time with family and friends.

On April 8th, 2011 our beautiful boy Griffin Austin Woodbury was born.  We love him exponentially more each moment we spend with him.

February 25th, 2013 we welcomed our daughter Hadley 'Hattie' Jean into our family.  She is a precious little girl who melts our hearts daily.

One thing we were certain of when we began planning our family was that we did not want to be parents who couldn't do anything because they had a baby.  We STILL want to spend time with our family and friends, cook and entertain, play with Cooper, golf, and fix up our house.

We’d like to think of ourselves as fun people and “Get a Griff” is all about keeping us accountable to our ourselves, so that we continue to have a life even though we have children in our life.  And so Get a Griff (Hattie in hand) began….
