The butcher, the baker, the candlestick maker

This project is no brain buster, but it is tedious.  These candlesticks were a wedding gift from one of my best friends, and I love them.  I've loved them in different locations for the past 6+ years and though I still love them, they needed a makeover.

Enter twine and glue gun.
I wanted something a little lighter in color, but with a little more texture than just a coat of paint.  I wanted something heartier than yarn, so I settled on a medium beige twine.  All in all, wrapping and gluing and wrapping and gluing probably took 4 hours.

That's a lot of time with twine.  But, they're done and I got the look I desired (I think).  And now I want to re-paint the mirror. :)
