Adult Sippy Cups?

I've got to be honest, I thought these would be a hit with the kids...Griffin loves anything that is more "big kid" like and I thought I nailed it when I made sippy cups out of mason jars.  But, in the midst of all the Christmas shuffle they were quickly thrown aside.

This is a pretty quick tutorial...there are much more detailed ones all over the internet.

Obtain mason/canning jars to the size you prefer.  Drill hole in lid (3/8 drill bit).

Clip extra tin to make it not so sharp.

Wash all parts (I washed them twice to make sure any bits that came loose while drilling the holes were happily washed away, so as not to be washed down a baby's throat).
Make sleeves/cozies with extra fabric laying around....
Add initials for personalization...
Slip on coozie, push in rubber grommet (can be purchased at a hardware store or on amazon), and add straw....voila!
While they were not the biggest hit amongst the kids....

...it was not all for naught.  I got a request from my brother in law to make an adult version for his iced coffees!
