To more of this

Back in 2012, I was focused on a few specific things.  2013 was more of a mental shift and was all about how my perspectives had changed and continued to change as kids were welcomed into our family.  This year is just a reflection, mostly on this past year and using it to shape the next.

Looking back over this past year, my favorite moments have been those little ones, the ones that warm my heart, the ones where I am witness to the love of Jesus manifested in our marriage, our kids and their sibling relationship, our parents and their service to us and our children, our family and friends and the time we get to spend together.  It doesn't take much to make my heart explode....a random "I love you," from Griff, a head nuzzled into me from Hattie, holding hands with my husband on a walk like we were teenagers again.  Seeing our parents love on our kids and their desire to spend time getting to know them like we do.

So the moment I realized this, I was upstairs putting Hattie to bed during one of our many Christmas's...and I was listening to all of the conversations happening.  I can't remember what the conversations were specifically, but they were love.  I could hear my brothers and my parents, and my husband and my son....all talking to each other, and I was holding my baby girl...all for the purpose of celebrating the birth of Jesus.  And that's it.  Cheers to 2014 and lots more of this.
