Throwback Thursday....Anniversary Edition (a day late:)

Well, I'm a day late in getting this out.  On both accounts: #tbt and our anniversary.  I've already noticed that my usually on-time-ness has turned to usually 10-minutes-late-ness.  Ugh.

Anyway, March 28th, 2013 was our 5th wedding anniversary!  Plus the 8 1/2 years leading up to our wedding, we've now been together for over 13 years.  That is crazy.  Considering we just had a baby, we have a two year old, we just celebrated my birthday, we've got dinner club this weekend and we're going on a vacation soon...we decided to do a quick dinner out the two of us, no muss, no fuss, no gifts (well Nate hit the jackpot on flowers this year:).  Thankfully Nanny and Pa came over and took both kiddos so we could escape for a few hours and it was wonderful.

Since our anniversary was yesterday (on Thursday) I wanted to honor it with some throwback photos....

This one has nothing to do with me, but it's Nate at 1 year old....can you see a resemblance to our little man Griff?

Here's Nate at 9 years old...I couldn't find one from when we were 5...which was when we first met.  We were in the same kindergarten class together and spent the rest of elementary, middle and high school in the same buildings.

Here he is when we first started dating.  Fall of our sophomore year.  A friend of mine and I made those T-shirts so the boys could have a Saturday football scrimmage.  That's dedication.  And then an actual football picture....pretty sure he caught that for a touchdown:).

Here we are going to our junior semi-formal.

And, junior prom.....
 Senior semi-formal...

 Senior prom....
I love to take pictures.  They don't have to be perfect, professional or posed....but this is why I take them.  Now I can look back and I have the moments worth remembering pictured, so we can actually remember them.   So what's the moral of the story after looking back at these?  Always take time for pictures (and don't over pluck your eyebrows teenage ladies:).
This last picture was taken in our last class of our last day of high school.  Zoology with Mrs. Olson.  We had our first day of elementary school together, and our last day of high school together.  We dated for the last 3 years of high school, 4 years of college and 1 more year before getting engaged and now we've been married for 5.  If it looks like I'm head over heels in love in these pictures, it's because I was, and am soooo in love with my high school sweetheart and couldn't be more blessed to have spent the last 5 years calling him my husband.
