Vacation to Linden Hills

Linden Hills is a little neighborhood of Minneapolis that if you didn't actually know you were in Minneapolis, you'd be sure you were on vacation somewhere.  It's a quaint little area with lots of yummy restaurants, unique gift stores, and lots of fun things to do.

One recent Saturday morning, we loaded the stroller, some snacks and waters and headed out.

Our first stop was actually not a stop but a stroll around.  To do some window shopping, check out Wild Rumps and all the animals they have there, and grab a coffee.
While Griffin does love to take walks, if we're not on a mission, he gets a little bored.  So we stopped off at the park and played.  It's not too often that Griff gets to show Dada all his park skills so he showed them all off.

Don't be fooled by the look on his face....he LOVES the slide.

And he goes again, and again and again.

He was very focused on riding the boat or whatever it was.  He especially likes getting on and off of it.

We got hot so we took a dip in the pool.  Griff is not great in the kiddie pool because he moves at a run rather than walk and you can imagine how tough that is in water.  So he falls, a lot, and he goes under and gets a little scared.  But, he doesn't learn his lesson, so he keeps doing it.

The pool on this particular morning, didn't last long.

In no time, we were back at the park playing make believe golf with someone's lost light sabers.

Shortly after light-saber golf, we broke out Griff's picnic and got ourselves Clancy's, and had a little picnic.  If you ever need a little mini-getaway, without actually getting-away, I highly recommend a day in Linden Hills.  Oh, and don't forget to leave without the best part, Sebastian Joe's.
