A sleepy parade

A beautiful sunny and snowy day in December in Minnesota reminded me of a really hot sunny day just three months ago.  James J. Hill Days has been a tradition in downtown Wayzata for the past thirty something years to honor the man who expanded railroads to Wayzata.  It is a weekend filled with food, people watching, booths of local artists and businesses and a parade.
Nate's company, Edina Realty was able to get one of the fire trucks that had been a first responder at ground zero when the events of 9/11 took place ten years ago.  The parade this year was held on September 11th, and Edina Realty walked alongside this historical firetruck.

Someone did not think the firetruck, parade or 100 degree heat was that exciting, and he slept through most of it.
My dad and Signe had a booth promoting a business of theirs, Juice Plus.  Juice Plus is whole food based, and is made from the juice powders of many fruits, veggies and grains.  Check out their website for more info.

Sleepy guy Griff had to be removed from the baby bjorn as soon as the parade was over due to the sweat pool forming on Nate's chest (therefore he could not be pictured).

As the temperature is slowly dropping, I just had to reminisce about the extreme heat we felt in September...I think it's time to start planning a winter getaway.
